Trust

One of the skills we develop in recovery is the ability to trust. Our experience when we were using taught us that others could not be trusted. We could not even trust ourselves. But now, trust is essential. We've come to realize that the people who share in meetings can be trusted. We can feel the truth in their words. As each day passes, we learn more and more to trust others. Just like the squirrel, we find there are some people that are willing to help us. Each day, we become stronger in our recovery, with trust in God and our growing trust in others.
