Comparing

We all come to the program with different backgrounds. Sometimes, it is difficult to see what there is about us that is the same. We used different drugs. We have unique backgrounds. Each of us has our own lessons to learn in recovery. Although this is true, the spiritual principles we apply are the same. And two things we do have in common: addiction and recovery. So although we have our own path we need to follow, the fellowship of others, no matter how different, can help us learn how to apply the principles of recovery. In the most important ways, each of us in recovery are just the same.
