John Bradshaw

 


John Elliot Bradshaw was born on June 29, 1933 in Houston, Texas. He was an educator,
counselor, motivational speaker and author of self-help books. He has written more than
six books which have sold over 10 million copies and
have been translated into 42 languages.
Homecoming: Reclaiming and Championing Your Inner Child was published
in 1990. In 1991, a television series was adapted from the book, and Bradshaw
won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show Host for the series.
This groundbreaking book explores the idea of co-dependency and how it can
be the result of a "wounded inner child" that needs healing. The book includes
case histories as examples and gives exercises to help the reader.
