Dan Greenburg was born on June 20, 1936 in Chicago, IL. He is a retired editor and artist,
and the writer of more than a hundred books, articles, and screenplays for both adults
and children. His 72 books have been published in 20 languages in 24 counties.
He has written for such magazines as Esquire, The New Yorker, and Forbes.
My Great-grandpa's in the Litter Box was published in 1996. It was the first of a series
of 30 children's books in the Zack Files (Zack is Greenburg's son). It tells the story of a
boy adopting a cat that talks and tells him that he is his reincarnated grandfather.
