A panic attack can overwhelm us. Life's demands can cause so much anxiety that we don't know what to do about it. The first thing is to stop. Let everything settle. Evaluate what is bothering us. Prioritize what needs to be taken care of right now and set the other things aside. Remind yourself that God is in control. Reach out, through prayer, talking with a sponsor, connecting with a friend or at a meeting to seek advice and reassurance. Then take action, as appropriate. An anxiety attack need not paralyze us. The program shows that resources are available to combat panic.
