Frustration

Recovery helps us learn how to cope successfully with life's daily frustrations. The boy in the picture is trying to deal with the bus coming late. We may have to stand in long lines at the grocery store or stop the bickering of our children. We can grit our teeth and take on a sour attitude, creating a cloud that darkens the mood for ourselves and everyone around us. These are poor coping skills. Instead, the program has taught us to take a deep breath and to talk with God. This practice brings us to a place of patience and tolerance, making it much easier for us to cope. With God's help, we can let go of frustration.
