Keep It Simple

As we journey through our recovery, life can seem too complicated to understand. Now that we've stopped using drugs, the world that we need to face can seem confusing, even terrifying. If we let these anxious thoughts get out of control, we can all too soon become panicked. The solution is to realize that we don't have to address everything at once. We learn that we can address a single problem at a time; this approach is possible. The strategy is to handle each moment as it comes. Then move on to the next moment. Moment to moment, life is not so terrifying. We can learn to keep it simple. In recovery, it is possible to learn to address today's problems with the help of God.
