Tess Gerritsen

 


Terry Gerritsen was born on June 12, 1953 in San Diego, CA. She is the author
of over twenty books of mystery and suspense. She is also a physician and a violist.
Her books have been published in 40 countries and sold more than 25 million copies.
The Surgeon was published in 2001. It received a RITA award from Romance Writers
of American in 2002 for Best Romanic Suspense Novel (Rita was the first name of
RWA's first president). This crime mystery novel is the first of the Rizzoli & Isles
series (which loosely inspired the TV series). People called it: "[a] briskly paced,
terrifically suspenseful work that steadily builds toward a tense and terrifying climax."
