Michael Kenyon

Michael F. Kenyon was born on June 26, 1931 in Huddersfield, Yorkshire,
United Kingdom. He was a reporter, lecturer, and author of crime novels. He has
written twenty books and numerous articles.
Zigzag was published in 1980. It was the first of eight in the Inspector Henry Peckover
series, which highlights Kenyon's spoof-espionage story telling technique. The book
tells of how "the Bard of Scotland Yard" (Inspector Henry Peckover) is sent
to Dublin to escort a prisoner, who is then shot dead in the car park. Peckover works
with another of Kenyon's characters, Dublin's Chief Superintendent O'Malley (who
has a series of three books).  Amazon reader's review: "Beautifully written police
mystery . . . Even the peripheral characters are interesting and fully fleshed
out. . . . It was an absolute pleasure to read."
